Vehicle Description Bright red with the stinger hood and black accents, this beautiful 1966 Corvette Stingray has quite the story of its past.
Originally a 427 big block A/C optioned car, the car was stolen in 1980 and found by the California Highway Patrol 25 months later with a 327 now under the hood and a few modifications, appearing as a 1967 to hide the true identity of the car.
Over the past 4 years the car has undergone a thorough frame off restoration by the current owner.
Sitting under the hood is a 327 V8 rated at 300hp, with an Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 Electronic Fuel Injection system, mated to a TKO 600 5 speed manual transmission and a 3.
73 posi rear end.
Outside, the repainted body shows very nicely with its bright red paint, side pipe exhaust, new windshield and chrome five spoke wheels.
Inside you will find a very good showing black interior, with leather seats that appear to be in great shape, a touch screen Asus pad on the dash for control of the Edelbrock system, and so much more.
Included with this car are hundreds of receipts detailing the amount of work and time spent on this car during the rebuilding process.
The documents also include copies of the original police report of the theft of the car as well as a note from the previous owner explaining the history of the theft.
If you are looking for a classic Corvette to truly drive and enjoy, look no further than this beautiful 1966 Stingray.
