Development of P&IDs from flow diagrams
Flow and pressure calculations for equipment selections.
HVAC calculations and system designs including VAV, dual duct, multi-zone air handlers.
General arrangements for mechanical equipment including overland conveyors.
Central plant design.
Piping design for process systems including steam, medical gas, high purity water, reagent, slurry, and overland pipe.
Detailed material take-off and estimating.
Plumbing designs including high-rise buildings, leach fields, institutional hot water, specialty waste treatment.
Performance specifications for fire protection.
Industrial ventilation designs for dust collection, fume hoods, process cooling.
VOC stripping plants for groundwater remediation.
Field engineering in support of construction:
Inter-discipline space management.
Management of Field Change Requests, Requests for Information, review of contractor submittals, daily field reports..
Engineering representation at owner design reviews, pre-bid conferences, and construction scheduling.
System validations for pre-commissioning and turn-over.
Design solutions for equipment fit up.
Other work experience includes fieldwork in surface geophysics (Induced Polarity, gravimetric, and magnetic surveys), and as a laboratory technician in inorganic, biochemical, and wet mineral labs.
Computer skills include AutoCad through Version 12, Navisworks (3D), Microstation vers. 8, Microsoft Office, Excel, Access, Trane Trace, and Carrier E-20.
