Service Manager,  Clyde West/Pacwest Machinery,  Seattle WA

  • I became Service Manager in Feb. of 2015, I got the paper work caught up from a two year period of neglect. I began closing work orders over 10 months old and rebuilt customer confidence. We have had to hire two more technicians to keep up with the work load created by customers coming back. I run a shop of five techs and a service writer. I oversee the yard, building, and all the equipment repairs. I am also responsible for the shop inventory.

04/2013 to 12/2013

Service Manager,  Arnold Machinery UT

  • Became the Service Manager in Salt Lake City of April of 2013.I worked hard to create a productive atmosphere in the shop. I over saw the assembly of a Hitachi 38 yd. front shovel when the Kennecott mine collapse in the pit.  I oversaw 5 field service trucks, 5 shop techs, a service writer and a product support salesman.

Equipment Manager/ Maintenance Manager,  Western Construction ID

  • I started this job as Parts Procurement for the shop. I ordered all the repair parts and kept track of all the spare parts. This included complete assemblies, tires, crusher parts, and fuel. I took over shop operations a year later. In 2005 I became the equipment manager and was in charge of all equipment movement for the company. I still maintained all of the yard inventory. I was in charge of 15 techs.

Don't Be Fooled

  • When selling, do not put your home address in your ad.
  • To avoid scams, buy and sell with people you can meet locally, in person.
  • When meeting with someone you don't know, meet in a public place. If that's not possible, have a buddy with you. Also, carry a cell phone; if you feel unsafe, you can call a trusted friend, and stay on the line.
  • Never give out financial or private information like account numbers, PayPal login, or social security number.
  • If an offer sounds too good to be true, it is. Walk away!
