In this role you will work with other members of the module validation team to develop testing that ensures no module design or active component issues cause fails during customer qualification and field use. Module validation is a growing importance for DRAM engineering as PCBs require faster speeds and more active components on newer generations of memory.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Develop flows to test Micron DRAM s compatibility on modules with 3rd party active chips such as PMIC, RCD, and DB devices.
  • Write test code on Micron s proprietary module ATE testers to implement validation flows.
  • Develop standards for signal integrity margin during ATE testing to ensure that modules are fully compatible with customer motherboard designs.
  • Ensure that power delivery is sufficient for all module MPNs to keep DRAM components within legal operating conditions.
  • Help act as an SME within product engineering for any issues involving module operation.
  • Drive resolution of module issues and facilitate the development of a network throughout Micron to own the various facets of debug.
  • Collaboration with MDG, SCG, DFT and TSE groups in order to differentiate module issues from system/DRAM issues and drive root cause analysis and test/validation coverage additions.

Required
Experience:

  • Strong technical acumen, with ability to learn the technical details around module operation and provide valuable technical contribution.
  • Strong coding skills in order to develop test code on Micron s module ATE test platform.
  • Understanding of DRAM operation, signal integrity concepts, and ability to comprehend data sheets for non-DRAM active devices.
  • Ability to work with teams from other departments to develop new business processes and establish proper areas of ownership for issues as module complexity grows.

Education:

  • A BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
