The primary focus is developing cutting edge semiconductor processing hardware both internally with process engineering and externally with vendors to enable novel process technology.

What Types of Equipment Areas are you hiring for?

Essentially all of them, though with an emphasis in:

  • Wet Etch
  • Photolithography
  • Dry Etch

Successful Equipment Engineers at Micron will have:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with customers, stakeholders, and managers
  • Model-based problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills - ability to identify embedded correlations
  • An electromechanical or hardware derived work history/education
  • Ability to generate data-based problem statements and success criteria
  • Strong teamwork skills - ability to work in cross-disciplinary teams facing cross-organizational logistical challenges
  • Ability to multi-task and foster numerous projects simultaneously
  • Strong digital literacy, or minimally the ability to learn quickly new programs like JMP and other data analysis programs

Education

  • B.S. in Engineering or Science subject area (Physics, Electrical Engineering)
    5 years of related proven experience
  • M.S./Ph.D. in Science or Engineering field (experience is helpful)
