This position will play a key role in supporting Micron s efforts to embrace and drive business capability solutions and innovation. In this role, focus will be from people, process, and technology perspective including adoption of innovative processes, new capability and technology introduction. As a PM you would support IT s transformational journey, alignment between business and IT strategy, to lead successful initiatives. Duties include seamlessly coordinating, monitoring, and controlling all deliverables of projects.

Responsibilities and Tasks

Lead and manage project/initiative teams.

  • Provide leadership within projects, driving teamwork and coordination where needed to improve alignment.
  • Identify all affected partners and sponsors across the initiative.
  • Ensure collaboration occurs between staff of all departments and vendor organizations.
  • Resolve critical issues and conflicts within the team.
  • Provide specific performance feedback to people managers as necessary.
  • Participate, as requested, in the recruitment and placement of Micron staff and consultants into initiatives.
  • Manage project resource allocations.
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure risks and mitigation plans are appropriately collected and closed in a timely manner.
  • Build a cohesive and robust initiative team.

Manage communications.

  • Represent the initiative to its governing authority and management as requested.
  • Ensure information flow to all areas and members of the project teams.
  • Provide status reports as indicated by Project Management Office (PMO) and other governing bodies, rolling up project updates where applicable.

Manage the portfolio schedule and coordinate project budgets.

  • Build and maintain the project roadmap in collaboration with IT and Business partners.
  • Identify all major project achievements relevant to delivering business values across the initiative.
  • Establish and measure project delivery using metrics
  • Align and deliver project landmarks in accordance with agreed-to business targets.

Manage process compliance.

  • Ensure projects are managing project delivery according to the PMO framework, ensuring all stage gates and stage gate artifacts are appropriately reviewed with the team and approved by sponsors.
  • Involve the appropriate parties to ensure that technology solutions are compatible with Micron s enterprise architecture, service environment, and policy.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skill with Agile, SCRUM with the ability to blend traditional project management principles and approaches to help our teams bring complex projects to completion
  • Knowledge and experience with formal project/program management methodologies
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
  • Proven track record to lead without authority and influence others
  • Ability to drive cultural change and the understanding of change principles
  • Historical success in navigating enterprise teams in a constantly evolving work environment
  • Demonstrated efficiency using data to communicate and advise decisions.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)

Experience

8
years experience in the following:

  • Information Systems/Technology, Project Management Office processes (portfolio, program, project) and Agile Project Management
  • Working understanding of Agile Scrum, XP, Kanban/Scrumban, and Lean practices and tools (JIRA / TFS or similar work management tools)
  • Use of collaboration tools (Confluence / MS Teams or similar), SharePoint and configuring sites
  • Working in a multi-functional setting with Offshore and Onshore resources
  • Strong facilitation, consensus building, conflict resolution, negotiation and leadership skills

Education

Required

Bachelor s Degree or equivalent in one of the following:

  • Computer Science
  • Information Technology
  • Business Information Systems
  • Management Studies

Preferred

  • Master s degree
  • Formal certification in Project management methodology highly preferred
