This means conducting business with integrity, accountability, and professionalism while supporting our global community.

The Recipe & Tool Development (RTD) team is looking to fill an RTD engineer position. We are part of the Advanced Mask Development (AMD) group under Technology Development (TD) department. RTD team members have deep understanding of Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) and Source Mask Optimization (SMO) software tools from various vendors, and we work side-by-side with members in Resolution Enhancement Technique (RET) teams which are also part of AMD group. You will work collaboratively with RET engineers and OPC vendors, seek solutions for the meaningful wafer patterning, and achieve reasonable runtime throughput for full chip tapeout. You will also come up with ease-of-use spec and integral interface to the tools, resolve critical production issues, investigate creative tapeout flows, and introduce novel software functions to AMD group. In addition, you will need to dedicatedly engage with teams in Design, Device, and Systems to integrate an effective and efficient tapeout flow for not only pilot parts but also derivative parts throughout the life span of each node of advanced memory products.

Responsibility includes, but not limited to, the following:

  • Build Inverse Lithography Technique (ILT) recipe for full die application.
  • Improve Best-Known Methods (BKMs) and build specialized solutions.
  • Collaboratively work with RET teams to deliver recipe and tool solutions as well as optimized flows to improve wafer pattern fidelity.
  • Collaborate with tapeout production team to deliver OPC mask design integrity.
  • Collaborate with Metrology teams to speed up automated data collection process.
  • Collaborate with Micron in-house mask shop to build post-OPC data meeting the latest spec of advanced reticle manufacturing process.
  • Interface to OPC vendors to continuously improve functions and software tools.
  • Interface to Device and Design teams to improve integrated workflow with high quality and good throughput.
  • Build automated Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) recipe generation for wafer data collection for model calibration and verification.
  • Maintain production flow of RET software and recipe development
