Are you passionate about transmission electron microscopy (TEM)? Micron has an outstanding TEM lab under Technology Development (TD) at its Headquarters located in Boise, Idaho. We have the most advanced TEMs available in the electron microscope field and state-of-art focused ion beam (FIB) machines for the preparation of TEM specimens. As a TEM Engineer at Micron's ATEM lab, you will work with Technology Development research groups to develop new processes, new materials and work with Fab engineers to expedite processes for product transfers and improve yield. The successful applicant for this position will be placed at corresponding Engineer level based on previous experience on analytical TEM work and education.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform daily TEM analysis, including microstructure and chemical analysis using electron diffraction, EDS and EELS to support the activities in Micron R&D and manufacturing
  • Give detailed pass down to the people in next shift to make smooth shift transition
  • Make contributions to optimize the existing Lab procedures
  • Work closely with process development teams to solve problems in the new part/module development
  • Develop/adopt advanced TEM techniques with emphasis on 4D STEM and diffractive imaging techniques for the utilization in semiconductor process
  • Develop/adopt solutions to enhance the efficiency of data acquisition and data processing in TEM


Qualifications:

  • Strong background and experience in materials characterization using TEM, particularly in electron diffraction analysis.
  • Proven track record in the field of diffractive imaging.
  • Programming skills using DigitalMicrograph scripts and Python.
  • Ability to work independently or in teams, as needed.
  • Experience in creative problem solving and innovative solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge in thermodynamics, kinetics, crystallography and diffraction.
  • Positive and ambitious attitude with effective oral and written communications.

Education:

  • Applicants should have a PhD degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science or a semiconductor-related field.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
