Job Description

As an IT Solution Manager for HR/People Solutions, you will lead a solution teams closely partnered with business partners to deliver extraordinary technology solutions to support Micron s People strategy. You will be responsible for delivering HR software applications based in SAP, Workday, ServiceNow and other 3rd party SaaS services. Accountable for delivering quality solutions through close business partner partnership, with a focus on business process and strong delivery methodology.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

These include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Define, execute, and run the business solution strategy supporting Micron s global People (HR) team, both from a technology and a process best practice standpoint
  • Collaborate successfully with business stakeholders and a broad set of internal technical partners to develop product roadmaps and execute flawlessly against a solution backlog
  • Act as a change agent, seeking opportunities to challenge the status quo to meet business objectives develop and gain support for roadmaps the detail the journey to best-in-class.
  • Partner with PMO organization to ensure area portfolio delivery in terms of priority, schedule, cost, scope and quality, while providing transparency to the business organization
  • Act as the embodiment of the agile attitude; lead teams in iterative product development using lean principles and a quality-first approach to development
  • Partner with peers across the enterprise to find opportunities for code sharing, common services, joint development, reduced redundancy, etc.
  • Solution architecture collaboration/alignment across internal and external teams
  • Coordinate across multiple business area leaders, each with active strategic program, and work to reconcile those into a clear portfolio
  • Keep up with the latest industry research to ensure we are appropriately using new techniques
  • Attract top talent and ensure career development of People solution team members including Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and Developers
  • Developing a cohesive global team working in a One Team culture, blending seamlessly across multiple geographies and matrix reporting structures
  • Ensure standards compliance to IT and area policies and guidelines


Qualifications:

  • 8
    years of experience leading an IT team in large, enterprise wide implementations
  • Extensive HR systems experience and business concept knowledge
  • Workday experience required; SAP experience highly desired
  • Experience in proactively building strong, collaborative business partnerships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, verbal and written
  • Solution architecture experience on an enterprise solution
  • Demonstrable ability to execute and deliver in an Agile framework
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment

Education:

Undergraduate degree in IT or applicable business subject area. Graduate degree preferred
