Responsibilities and Tasks:

Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing algorithms and modeling solutions for complex systems
  • Choosing the appropriate simulation tools/environment
  • Constructing or modifying component models including memory devices, controllers, interconnects, and processors
  • Verifying results by generating or acquiring relevant workloads and gathering subsystem performance information such as duty cycle, energy consumption, and congestion
  • Assemble and demonstrate the benefits and trade-offs regarding performance, quality of service, features, complexity, and power-consumption under sophisticated workloads
  • Developing infrastructure and tools for simulation and performance metrics analysis
  • Providing technical leadership for small diverse modeling teams
  • Presenting developed solutions supported by modeled results
  • Numerically analyzing problems and solutions, and publishing analyses
  • Performing behavioral and detailed temporal analysis of sophisticated architectures
  • Building positive relationships while working with diverse engineering teams to develop and optimize new insights, architectures, algorithms, performance, and components


Experience:

A successful candidate for this position will have the following:

  • Experience with embedded systems and a working knowledge of modeling tools and techniques
  • A solid understanding through academic coursework or experience in NAND memory systems, as well as other memory types are preferred
  • Must have C/C+
    experience, Python experience is a plus
  • Must understand how to use the Standard Template Library (STL)
  • Solid understanding regarding architecture, microarchitecture, and design analysis
  • Ability to quickly react and adapt to changes based on modeling results
  • Exposure to software development flows and practices
  • Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent verbal communication and written skills
  • Must be a strong individual contributor as well as a standout colleague

Education:

  • PhD or MS Degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering; or Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
