Loan Processor

Bay Equity is a full-service retail institution headquartered in Sausalito, CA. Bay Equity has operations centers in Concord, California; Whittier, California; Portland, Oregon; Tacoma, Washington and Everett, Washington; Grand Junction, Colorado and Plano, Texas with 74 retails branches from the West Coast to the Mid-West and South.
We are hiring for a Loan Processor for our Boise, ID branch.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Review loan application to determine the completeness of all documents and verify the borrows qualification for specified loan product
Advise loan officer of any deficiencies or missing documentation
Works with escrow to obtain all items necessary for disclosure e.g. estimated HUD, preliminary title report, closing protection letter and wire instructions
Follow up on order outs if not already in file
Package and submit complete files to operations through Encompass program
Upon receipt of loan approval, works with the loan officer, and escrow officer to clear all prior to doc conditions and funding conditions
Prepares doc request and submits to Closing Assoc.
Request/Follow up on Loan Estimates, Closing Disclosures, and all re-disclosures
Arranges signing for borrower with escrow officer
Works with funder, loan officer and escrow officer to clear funding conditions
Works as a back-up while other Processor is out of office
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 3 years' mortgage loan processing experience
Keep positive in stressful situations
Experience utilizing Encompass mortgage software preferred
Ability to work collaboratively with others
Excellent communication skills
Strong customer service skills
Ability to multi-task and use deductive reasoning
Knowledge of RESPA and current Compliance Regulations.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
