We seek 1 person to develop and maintain an exclusive territory in the local market as an Advertising Consultant. Please read the following carefully and completely. Summary of Position
The Advertising Consultant conducts the sales and marketing of our advertising program. Once the sales portfolio has been established, it has proven that the role develops into more of an account and territory manager, maintaining that book of business, and continually selling to new clients as needed. Traditionally, persons with a strong background in business to business advertising sales (cash register receipts, newspaper, yellow pages, penny saver, etc.) excel with our program.
This is considered a work from home, outside sales position, with most of the time being spent in the field on behalf of the clients in a very fast paced, business to business sales environment. The sales cycle of our product is very short, and almost all sales are made on the first or second visit to the client, typically within the same week. This role is results driven and therefore compensation is paid 100% commission. First year income expectation is $41,000-$49,000 per year plus room to grow as the territory matures.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Seek out client partners to expand our effective marketing program
- Sell advertising space on our medium to local businesses - MUST be able and willing to cold call 30+ businesses a day in person
- Effectively communicate with the clients, designers and leadership group
- Follow up with clients face to face, as well as via email and phone calls as needed
- Attend daily morning conference calls
- Consistently update and maintain sales reports
- Deliver results and meet deadlines - MUST BE ABLE TO CLOSE BUSINESS
- Build and maintain a solid client portfolio

Experience and Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 3 years business to business sales experience (print advertising sales preferred)
- Proven track record as a closer of business in a business to business sales environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Extensive work from home background - Ability to self-manage and work independently a MUST
- Computer, printer, scanner and cell phone, as well as the ability to effectively use them
- Positive, professional, go-getter mentality
- Work in the field 30 hours a week, 10 hours a week from the home office
- Able to prioritize, multitask and consistently meet deadlines

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
