The IT Business Analyst is instrumental in scoping and managing incoming project requests. This person does all of the early legwork to define, analyze and document requirements and captures them in sufficient detail for all stakeholders and the development team.
Some of the key assignments for the BA:
Maintain a project backlog of all incoming feature requests and priorities (in JIRA)
Scope incoming requests to a suitable level of depth through questions and interviews with all related parties.
Capture requests in the form of summary briefs and user stories
Brief the engineering team on all new requests and help resolve any follow-up questions
Communicate status of all processed requests back to the originators
Assist writing test cases
Work with Engineering to estimate project hours based upon project scope definition

years' experience working as a Business Analyst on large scale web projects
Understanding of systems engineering concepts
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills
Experience working with development methodologies, life cycles, and best practices (such as Waterfall, SDLC, RUP or Agile)
Experience with software project management tools (e.g. JIRA/Confluence)
Familiarity with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
Strong critical thinking / logic skills
Strong organizational skills
Application development experience a plus (e.g. html, Java, C, VB, SQL, database design/maintenance)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
