Job Overview:
The production Associate is responsible for meeting daily production demands in various functional roles in a high mix manufacturing environment aligned with customer demand and forecast. A minimum of 3 months of experience currently working at Plexus as an Temporary Associate is required for this position.
There are multiple shifts available in various focus factories. This position is for an A shift:
A shift - 6A - 6P, Su-Tu, every other W
C shift - 6A - 6P, Th-Sa, every other W
B shift - 6P - 6A, Su-Tu, every other Sa
D shift - 6P - 6A, W- Fr, every other Sa
Mod B- 6P - 6A, M-W, every other Th
Candidates must be flexible to work any shift as needed.

Responsibilities:
Follow Quality, Operational, Environmental, Health and Safety Standards for all work areas and promptly escalate issues, machine alarms and equipment failures.
Follow written and oral instructions to meet customer demands and production standards in assigned area per applicable site training matrix.
Perform manual automated operations of equipment and processes following training and online Assembly Build Instructions (ABI''s), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP''s), Equipment Operating Instructions (EOI''s), and Work Instructions (WI''s).
Embrace the Lean Manufacturing culture by actively participating in 5S activities, housekeeping, mistake proofing, continuous improvement and adhering to Standard Work Principles.
Maintain accurate time keeping, record keeping, labor tracking, inventory control, process documentation, scrap, and quality records. Promptly escalate issues.
Become trained to the area''s core standards and functional specific operations before working without direct or supervisory oversight.
Stay current on processes, procedures, standards, policies and training for assigned job and operational area, per Training Matrix 7628.

Equipment/Software/Materials & Physical Requirements:

General office equipment and materials
General manufacturing tools and equipment.
Specific area training must be completed in assigned area
Able to alternate or be able to sit, stand and walk for long periods of time
Able to lift, reach, push, pull up to 45 lbs as required
Able and willing to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment as required for assigned area
Materials worked with include, but are not limited to: isopropyl alcohol, flux, thinner, thermal compounds, solder (lead and lead free), epoxy, solder wicks, conformal coatings, and other materials as needed

Qualifications:
The International Trafficking in Arms Treaty (ITAR), requires that employees who work in the position for which Plexus is hiring must be, and be able to provide proof of American Citizenship, permanent residency (Green Card) or political asylum.
Education &
Experience:

A minimum of 3 months of experience working at Plexus as a Temporary Associate is required for this position.
Equivalent industry experience of 1 or more years is highly desirable.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
A High School Diploma or GED is required
