JOB DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision, provides control and instrumentation engineering support; also provides quality reviews and designs for stations projects.
Additional duties include: working effectively within a project team environment to create control solutions to problems; reviewing and approval control designs for functionality and accuracy; participating in the advancement of station control systems' design; developing and evaluating new control systems technology and projects; working with System Protection and Communications personnel to create a control design that meets system protection and communications requirements, and maintaining a current knowledge of station control engineering, systems and devices.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Knowledge of:
Electrical engineering principles in power stations and systems; operating principles of electrical power station equipment; the principles and practices of integrating station controls, IEDs, Communications and SCADA systems; the practices, methods, materials, and equipment used in station construction; the hazards and safety precautions of electrical power station work, and the company specifications, regulations, and guidelines for the design, construction, operation, maintenance, and protection of station equipment.
Skills in:
Managing and coordinating control designs of projects using company and contracted resources, and developing and analyzing alternative solutions to control problems.
Ability to:
Prepare station electrical drawings and diagrams; develop concepts; demonstrate problem solving skills and techniques; use good judgment to apply established guidelines to solve work problems; manage multiple project designs simultaneously; facilitate meetings; manage control module development; lead control design projects, and apply the requirements of the NEC and NESC.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor of science degree in engineering from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology) engineering program.
Experience:
(Level II)
Two or more years engineering experience.
Prefer
five or more years of demonstrated Station Control, Protection, and/or Communication experience.
(Senior)
Seven years experience with 3 years in the area of expertise.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record according to driving requirements of the position, and valid First-Aid and CPR card or ability to obtain. FE/EIT or PE preferred.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
