Operations Staff (Part-Time)

The Event Operations Staff is responsible for setting up, maintaining, and tearing-down all events.
The Operations Staff works as a team on the event floor to ensure the facility is safe for all guests, clients, and employees.
This position requires considerable physical activity and manual labor.
WAGE:
Complete wage range:
$16-$20.
42 per hour, depending on experienceSCHEDULEPrimarily looking for evenings, late nights, and weekends Internal applicants are required to submit an internal application form, see the HR department for more details WHY WORK AT BOISE CENTRE?Exposure to community partners and large conventions while working events, this is a great chance to network!Opportunities to grow within Boise CentreAbility to cross-train with other departments at Boise CentreEmployee assistance programComplimentary meals are provided to the employee while working events (with meal service)Phenomenal team atmosphere and professional culture, WOWgisitics!WHAT DO EVENT OPERATIONS STAFF DO?Sets up tables, chairs, and other event equipment in a safe, timely manner as directed by Banquet Event Order and complete the tear down at the conclusion of the eventOperates, uses and assists with heavy equipment; forklift, pallet jack, scissor lift, walkie-stacker, and driving vacuumReports maintenance requests for damages, broken equipment and other facility concernsEnsures all safety, organizational policies, and procedures are followedResponds quickly to client and department needs and changesMaintains cleanliness of event rooms, lobbies, restrooms, service halls, warehouse and storage areasMaintains outdoor cleanliness of the Grove Plaza, loading dock and sidewalk perimeter of Boise CentreContinually checks for restrooms cleanliness, restocks restroom supplies, and removes trashOperates forklift safely, upon obtaining forklift certificationAssists with loading dock traffic and warehouse activitiesReports lost and found items immediately for record keeping and storageResponds to emergency situations and resolve operational problemsAssists with building and event security including perimeter checks and monitoring guest accessIdentifies and resolves potential trip hazards, water spills, and broken glassUses professional radio etiquette to communicate work-related informationPerforms a variety of related tasks and duties as assignedREQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Ability to perform multiple functions in a fast-paced environmentRegular and reliable work attendance at scheduled time on-siteForklift certified, required (provided in-house at Boise Centre at no cost to employee)Event experience, preferredCustomer service experience, preferredPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to safely operate heavy equipment and perform heavy manual labor for extended periodsFrequently will:
stand and walk for long periods of time; bend, stoop, kneel, and twist; reach and use of ladders, stools, and stairs; lift, push and pull up to 50 poundsOccasionally will:
