The Sterile Processing Tech performs decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization and storage of re-usable surgical instrumentation.
The SPD also prepares surgical case carts and responds to requests for instrumentation and /or supplies for surgical procedures.
Ensures all Quality Assurance documentation is completed pursuant to the standards of sterilization, The Joint Commission, and SARMC requirements.
GOOD TO HAVE:
CRCST or CSPDT certification.
Prior experience in a hospital setting.
