Your Day.
As a BSR you need to know how to:
Answer incoming calls to the billing department Answer questions related to account balances and how insurance processed claims Prepare account summaries for patients and send receipts Take credit card payments and assist with billing reports Respond to inbound voicemails and work returned mail Route customer complaints and questions to the appropriate personnel Review accounts looking for errors, mark accounts sent to collections Attend training sessions and staff meetings assigned by supervisors Understand and maintain confidentiality of protected health information Perform other duties as assigned which may include assisting other team members with billing office functions.

High school diploma or equivalent Two years customer service experience in similar organization preferred Excellent written and verbal communication and documentation Computer experience with spreadsheets such as Excel Strong organizational skills Ability to maintain a professional manner under busy and stressful circumstances Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Able to triage priorities and handle conflict in a reasonable fashion.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
