This position is eligible for a $750 hiring bonus! Pathways of Idaho, a branch of Pathways, is one of the largest behavioral health providers in the US.
We operate the Pathways Community Crisis Center of Southwest Idaho located in Boise which is a 24/7/365 resource for adults experiencing a Mental or Behavioral Health Crisis.
Our team lives out their passion for helping the community and are looking for a hardworking, dedicated, and passionate peer support specialist to join us! About Your Role:
Our Certified Peer Support Specialists deliver services to individuals accessing our crisis center.
This service supports adults who struggle with a severe and persistent mental illness, or emotional disturbance in order to promote hope, wellness, and recovery outcomes by sharing lived-experience and knowledge to help encourage recovery and resiliency.
This position is Part-Time and covers overnights.
Expected pay rate starts at $16 -$17 Does the Following Apply to You? Peer support certification High School Diploma or GED Ability to pass enhanced background check Valid driver's licenses with reliable transportation and proof of car insurance Experience utilizing electronic health records is a plus
Responsibilities:
Works with adult clients experiencing a behavioral health crisis to provide support and encouragement during client's difficult moments.
Monitors / observes client for safety.
Complies with HIPAA privacy and practices Documents all client interactions within the WITS electronic health records system.
Assists clients in achieving their personal recovery goals, linking them to community resources, providing education and support.
Aids in completion of Wellness Plan.
Serve as a resource to the Pathways Crisis Center team in incorporating recovery strategies and tools into client interactions, reinforcing an approach of client self-determination in all aspects of service planning.
Creating a welcoming atmosphere, and maintaining a clean and positive environment for clients accessing the crisis center.
Shares experience from personal road to recovery to promote growth and change.
