What you will be doing The Pharmacy Controlled Substance Analyst works under the direction of the Pharmacy Controlled Substance Manager and assists in monitoring the controlled substances program including, but not limited to, data collection, analysis, reporting, and investigation into Asset Protection issues.
Main responsibilities Ensure accurate and timely controlled substance loss reporting to DEA and state regulatory agencies.
Identification and analysis of controlled substance diversion risks through analysis of reports and analytic tools Coordination of controlled substance investigations Perform, document and present controlled substance dispensing reviews of pharmacies and prescribers Provide requested analytics and information for legal and regulatory requests.
The salary range is $54,600 to $71,040 annually.
Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications.
There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates.
Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).
Associates in this position are also eligible for a quarterly bonus.
What we are searching for Bachelor's degree preferred (Business/Finance) or equivalent experience Minimum two years analytics experience required Pharmacy experience preferred Certified Pharmacy Technician preferred Keen legal and business acumen Financial and/or information analysis experience Computer literacy in MS Office.
Experience in SAS or SQL preferred Excellent analytical, problem solving skills, written and oral communication skills Excellent team and interpersonal skills High degree of initiative and results orientation Organization skills to manage multiple initiatives Ability to reflect on current processes and procedures to recommend and implement improvements Work autonomously, handle projects under deadlines pressures and set priorities effectively PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT Most work is performed in a temperature-controlled office environment.
Incumbents may sit for long periods of time at desk or computer terminal.
Incumbents may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of a normal workday.
Stooping, bending, twisting, and reaching may be required in completion of job duties.
