As a Credit Analyst at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for reviewing and releasing sales orders, performing financial risk assessments and making decisions regarding releasing orders, and resolving order-related issues. You will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong internal and external working relationships and providing exceptional customer service. Additional responsibilities include performing, monitoring, and reporting activities on customer accounts, negotiating agreements, and completing projects as assigned.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

Perform Credit Reviews

  • Perform timely and accurate credit reviews taking into consideration inputs on sales forecast, gross margins, security requirement, risk factors while maximizing efficiency of order management
  • Discuss with Sales projected sales forecast for individual customers
  • Negotiate security requirements with customers as needed
  • Provide compelling arguments supporting recommended decision
  • Execute proper documentation regarding credit limit approvals, risk categories, and next review dates in SAP to ensure alignment with policy

Maximize sales while minimizing credit losses

  • Ensure an accurate assessment of credit risk and set appropriately sized credit limits, risk categories, and next review dates, taking all risk factors into account and maximizing efficiency of order management
  • Maintain awareness of economic conditions and trends in the memory industry and general economy, as well as trends and best practices in the credit profession
  • Make timely delivery release decisions to meet shipping cut-off times while using good judgment and proper documentation and approvals
  • Hold deliveries or block accounts as appropriate for past due invoices or exceeding credit limits, communicating with Sales and customers to ensure awareness
  • Collaborate with collectors, take ownership of escalated collection issues and leverage relationships with Sales and customers to resolve the root causes of slow payments or potential bad debt losses
  • Comply with department policies, procedures and documentation requirements and recommend improvements to processes, policies, and procedures
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks

Promote Teamwork and Communication

  • Provide backup and assist others with workload when necessary
  • Support department, Finance, and company goals and key performance indicators
  • Establish and maintain cooperative and productive work relationships, seeking win-win solutions with internal and external customers
  • Follow up on outstanding issues as needed without being requested for updates

Design and Support the Credit Business Processes

  • Maintain and Refresh PowerBi dashboards
  • Collect data to identify issues and solutions for systems and business processes
  • Make recommendations and assist with the implementation of new or refined processes


Experience:

  • 2 years of experience in Accounting or Finance required
  • PowerBi, SQL required
  • Experience in Credit or Collections desired

Education:

  • Bachelor s Degree required in one of the following:
    • Business
    • Finance or Accounting
    • Related field of study
