As a Photolithography Track Development Engineer at Micron Technology, you will be responsible for creating and optimizing track processes, implementing new track technologies, and driving process alignment across our global manufacturing network. We maintain a close, strategic relationship with our key suppliers, and meet with them frequently. You will collaborate with our team of engineers to understand roadmap requirements for advanced memory, and how new hardware solutions intercept our roadmap. You will drive our suppliers to develop and customize new hardware to meet Micron s needs, and you will test and implement this technology in Boise and worldwide. Our team collaborates with other technology development and manufacturing sites worldwide and leads projects to keep all fabs aligned on the best processes. Additionally, you will address process issues and continuous improvement projects at Boise and in manufacturing.

Responsibilities and Duties include, but not limited to:

  • A commitment to work in a safe manner and contribute to a safe working environment. Work up to 50% of your time in the cleanroom, follow safety procedures, and use appropriate personal protection equipment.
  • Build new track recipes for new memory parts. Optimize recipes to meet manufacturing requirements for performance, defects, and cost.
  • Understand the root causes of excursions and implement solutions. This could include defect excursions, poor coating uniformity, or other track-related problems.
  • Lead projects with suppliers to meet future process requirements and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with groups across different departments, sites, and geographies. Lead or participate in global alignment activities and process transfers to manufacturing sites.
  • Drive track installation projects. Engage with suppliers, Micron s facilities team, and our engineering team to define track configurations, and manage the installation process.
  • Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings as necessary.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Degree/Major:
    B.S. in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, or study relevant to Photolithography; or an A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering or equivalent military training with 5 years industry experience.
  • 3 years Photolithography track equipment experience required, including a detailed understanding of photo track hardware and software.
  • Knowledge of WIS and WISeCAM hardware and software systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cleanroom equipment, including familiarity with lithography equipment and processing, and related metrology.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to use schematic diagrams and troubleshoot mechanical systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with suppliers and managing confidential information.
