Job Description

The Senior Manager for Global Risk and Compliance will be responsible for leading a team focusing on Risk Analysis, Disaster Recovery and various Compliance programs centered around manufacturing and financial requirements.

As a Senior Manager for Global Risk and Compliance, you will be required to perform people leader responsibilities such as talent management, career, and professional development objectives for team members as well as other people leader responsibilities.

A successful candidate for this position must have:

  • Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on the ability to discuss compliance issues to an audience who is not well versed in compliance terminology
  • Lead, build, retain, and develop a team of Security professionals that are passionate about identifying, assessing, and mitigating security risk
  • Support the team to develop and communicate policies, procedures, guidelines, and plans to internal stakeholders regarding security and risk management
  • Create robust, scalable programs to deliver policy and compliance objectives
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve programs to address key company risks and prepare internal teams for independent assessments against applicable and compliance frameworks
  • Find practical solutions to standardize and scale across Micron
  • Provide robust assurance of the operational effectiveness of compliance controls
  • Define metrics to track program progress and maturity for security stakeholders
  • Improve controls for internal systems, processes, and policies
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external auditors throughout compliance assessments
  • Understand technical implementation details necessary to assess general and situational Security risk
  • Responsible for the development and oversight of required mitigation plans relating to information security risk and policy exceptions

Responsibilities and Tasks

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Drive accountability for resolution of risk related activities
  • Provide strategic direction for Disaster Recovery testing planning and adherence for plan completeness
  • Coordination and central contact for internal and third-party audits
  • Executive report out of risks along with calculated ratings

Experience

  • 7-10 years in Information Security, IT Audit/Governance/Risk/Compliance, or similar role.
  • 3-4 years' people leadership experience
  • Vendor Risk Management:
    3-5 years(?)
  • Drafting and implementing security policies and procedures

Qualifications

  • Expert understanding of various security and privacy frameworks (NIST CSF/800-53, SOX, IS0 27001, GDPR etc.)
  • Cybersecurity controls management, testing, and automation
  • Risk assessment methods, procedures, monitoring, and reporting
  • Solid understanding of security, privacy, IT audit and legal security concepts, standards, guidelines and principles
  • One of more of the following certifications:
    CISSP, CISA, CISM, CRISC, GCIH, CIPP

Education

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Management information systems, business administration, criminal justice, or equivalent work related experience
