The Idaho Department of Health and Welfare, Division of Public Health has an opening for a Research Analyst, Senior in Boise. This position will be located in our Bureau of Vital Records and Health Statistics.

Responsibilities:
Plans, conducts, coordinates, and communicates research and writing projects
Develops research methodology, procedures, and forms for data collection
Writes and/or designs and modifies computer applications, programs, and/or databases to perform descriptive analysis
Edits, modifies and compiles statistical data from computer programs
Analyzes, updates, and reviews vital statistics data to determine statistical accuracy of data files and reports
Identifies erroneous or questionable data and works with Program Information Coordinator to verify and correct
Drafts report of findings into written, narrative, graphic, and tabular form and makes oral presentations of findings
Minimum
Qualifications:
Good knowledge of research methods
Good knowledge of principles of statistics
Good knowledge of sampling theory and probability theory
Experience writing analytical (research) reports or materials
Experience compiling and analyzing statistical data and drawing conclusions
Experience using statistical software or spreadsheet software to perform statistical analysis
Experience interpreting and communicating (orally and in writing) statistical material into information usable by a target audience

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
