We are seeking a full-time SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEER to join our Albuquerque or Boise office as part of our Bridge and Structures division. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented, well-rounded Structural Engineer to expand our presence in Albuquerque/Boise; build new client relationships, manage and deliver projects, and mentor staff. We have an established structures division, who will lend support as this entrepreneurial candidate works to expand our clientele and establish new project work. Our Structures team is comprised of 10
diverse, talented individuals working on projects for a wide variety of private, local/state and federal clients throughout the Western United States.
Responsibilities include client and business development; project and task management; execution and delivery of projects, sophisticated proposal preparation; interview skills; strategic planning; development of technical memoranda and study reports; preparation of calculations, plans, specifications and cost estimates; and mentoring of junior staff. Candidates must embody exceptional client service ethics; be proficient in finite element analysis programs; and exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred candidates will have a minimum of a BSCE (MSCE preferred); PE license (SE preferred) in Idaho and/or New Mexico (or the ability to obtain within six months of employment); 12
years of progressive bridge planning, design and construction experience using AASHTO & ITD and NMDOT (or equivalent) standards; and 6
years progressive project management and delivery experience, preferably in the A&E; industry; and an excellent reputation. Business development experience is critical, including a proven track record in identifying strategic opportunities and implementing successful pursuit strategies. Established local client relationships are desired.
