Location:Boise, ID
Position Type:Full time
Schedule:Must be open to working any shift/schedule: days, nights, weekends, holidays, etc. Steady shift will be determined at time of hire.

Position
Summary:
The Maintenance HVAC Mechanic is responsible for the servicing, troubleshooting, modification and repair of all facilities mechanical systems and components. This individual performs skilled work in the installation, operations, repair and maintenance of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning equipment and hydronic systems.
Primary Job Tasks and
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot and repair systems and components.
Adjust and install valves, thermostats, fans, pressure regulators, and pumps.
Inspect and test heating and air conditioning systems to ensure proper operation.
Install, replace and repair pumps, valves, filters, belts, fuses, bearings, controls, gauges, air compressors, fans, blowers, air regulators and dryers.
Clean, lubricate and assemble pipe and tubing to other components of air conditioning and heating equipment.
Drive assigned vehicles.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Order stock and maintain equipment and supplies.
Accurately complete required documentation(e.g., work orders).
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be a journeyman level HVAC Mechanic.
Familiar with methods, practices and tools used in the repair and maintenance of air conditioning, heating and alarm systems.
Familiar with HVAC system design, equipment, capabilities and requirements.
Working knowledge of plant systems and components.
Ability to understand and interpret blueprints.
Demonstrated ability to work to close tolerances and specifications.
Highly motivated, and able to work independently.
Demonstrated ability to work to maintain positive working relationships.
Demonstrates good customer service skills.
Comfortable working around chemical systems, pollution abatement systems, electrical power systems and hazardous materials.
Ability to follow the principles of safe work practices and adhere to procedures.
Willing to work various shifts and holidays when required.
Ability to use PC to gather, organize and share information.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Able to move materials weighing up to 30 pounds to shelf located 4 feet in height.
Able to stand for long periods of time.
Able to bend twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel.
Be able to read and understand chemical labels.
