GENERAL SUMMARY AND PURPOSE:
Under general supervision, provides daily support needed to ensure a successful Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Position maintains and audits employee information for the SAHS through the HRIS in compliance with regulatory guidelines and established procedures. Position communicates with payroll department, vendors and government/regulatory bodies in timely reporting of information and proactive problem solving.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
1. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or other business related field preferred.
2. Two years in multi-functional office setting or Human Resources department; experience emphasis in compensation or benefits administration preferred
3. Ability to handle multiple tasks and high volume of work
4. Must have strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office environment and e-mail application programs. Advanced computer skills including data base reporting, MS Access, PeopleSoft applications preferred.
5. Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures preferred

Essential Functions:
1. Meets SAHS Guiding Behaviors and Caring Standards including interpersonal communication and professional conduct expectations.
2. Serves as key operator for HRIS data entry requirements of all applicable benefit forms and personnel change requests accurately, timely, and in compliance with human resources policies and procedures and database integrity requirements.
3. Conducts data audits frequently to ensure ongoing integrity of data sources. Communicates problems to management to obtain support for process improvement efforts and protocol changes.
4. Creates and generates reports from HRIS using Query tools.
5. Able to provide back-up for the HRIS Manager for department and table set-ups, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Web-based products.
6. Provides comprehensible and accurate reports of confidential employee information to HR staff as needed.
7. Able to demonstrate a clear audit trail of all transactions.
