St. Luke's Health System is searching for a nurse leader to join the Center for Nursing Excellence in the role of Nursing Practice Manager in Boise, Idaho. In this role you will impact change and engage other nurses to aim for professional leadership and growth. Unit/Position SummaryThis position leads our certification program and nursing shared governance. The individual facilitates system workgroups, drives partnerships across the organization and provides subject matter consultation. They are an innovator and use creative approaches to solve the big problems facing our nursing and clinical work force to improve their ability to provide care in a safe and meaningful way. This role supports regeneration and growth by continuing the revitalization of nursing shared governance and engaging in activities to enhance professional nursing practice such as certification program, leading nursing sensitive indicator workgroups, providing expertise to system teams seeking to engage in quality improvement and performance improvement, guiding leaders to utilize data to influence patient outcomes, engage bedside staff in participating in developing their practice, incorporating our professional practice model into all nursing activities. The individual leads improved quality and safety outcomes by improving transparency and visibility to performance and accountability to best practice through the development of dashboards, participation in quality and performance improvement work, promoting evidence-based practice and supporting leaders to manage change, engagement with the infection prevention and safety teams as a practice expert.



Dayshift; flexible scheduling with a few days in the office, a few days remote work, and travel.



Resonsibilities:



  • Facilitates the identification and deployment of best practices to support organizational strategic objectives.


  • Provides subject matter consultation in support of quality, stewardship, and service goals.


  • Administers services determined to be more efficiently and effectively performed centrally.


  • Facilitates system workgroups.


  • Engages with strategic partnerships to drive performance across the organization.


  • Represents SLHS in interactions with external regulatory bodies, national groups, etc.


  • Identifies opportunities for innovation.


  • Participates in the development of long-range plans which support the system s philosophy, strategic directive and general objectives.


  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.



Qualifications:



  • Education:
    Bachelors degree in Nursing

  • Experience:
    6 years related experience

  • Licenses/Certifications:
    Current RN License from the State of Practice
