Summary:
The Department of Insurance is looking for someone who wants to give back to their community in a meaningful way by helping to provide consumer protection through its regulation of entities conducting insurance business in the great State of Idaho.
In this position you will play an important role in our Market Oversight Bureau protecting the citizens of Idaho through your research, collection, and analysis of data.
Based on your statistical and analytical reports, the recommendations you make to agency leadership, other agencies, and the public can make a measurable difference in the lives of Idahoans.
Responsibilities:
Perform qualitative and quantitative research to collect data for statistical analysis.
Develop and improve data collection tools and processes.
Compare data to identify trends, new developments, and forecasts.
Assure quality of data collected from others.
Work with entities to communicate data reporting timelines and expectations.
Validate that collected data is complete and valid.
Compile and design reports or results that meet the distinct needs of the intended audience.
Assist management to evaluate business metrics and identify outdated or missing elements and recommend improvements.
Minimum
Qualifications:
Good knowledge of:
Research methods Principles of statistics
Experience:
Writing analytical (research) reports or materials Using statistical software or spreadsheet software to perform statistical analysis Preferred/Desirable Qualification:
Experience using basic Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
