Job Description:_ Establish strong business relationships with customers and prospects through solid business development and portfolio management activities. Develop and maintain a portfolio of high quality, complex corporate relationships. Primary lending responsibilities include originating, delivering and managing all types of complex commercial loans. Provide high quality customer service while contributing to Bank of the Cascades strategies and objectives, upholding BOTC Sales-Service-Soundness values.
_Essential Functions &
Responsibilities:_
Originate and manage full service commercial loan and deposit customer relationships.
Develop and maintain a portfolio of high quality, complex business loan relationships and maintaining active contact with customers.
Review and manage inquiries and applications for complex commercial lending and real estate/construction lending prospects and existing customers within the $250,000 to $1,500,000 range.
Negotiate proper loan structures and pricing, selling the Bank's credit and deposit products.
Underwrite, prepare, and present for approval, credit analyses on all borrowing requests.
Develop customer/prospect lists and calling program within assigned market area for marketing a broad range of Bank services, building a strong pipeline.
Actively participate in an outside calling program designed to promote the image of the Bank, collaborating with Trusted Advisor team members.
Responsible for timely and thorough portfolio management through periodic reviews, continual analysis and proper documentation; establish action plans for higher risk relationships; assign proper risk rating; take remedial action making applicable adjustments.
Interview loan applicants and obtain accurate information, overseeing accurate loan documentation/agreements and processing according to regulation and BOTC Lending Policy.
Prepare personal pipeline and other reports as required; respond to issues pertaining to the review of loan files.
Meet individual production goals for loans and deposits.
Cultivate new business relationships in market; source and refer all types of business, commercial and consumer loans and complex cash management products.
Maintain emphasis on business development, sales, loan and deposit growth and community involvement to promote Bank growth and profitability.
Provide leadership and support to Bank team members, proactively sharing expertise and best practices.May mentor other team members who are less experienced.
Act as a resource in managing the Branch loan customers and larger more complex business loans; support the Bank's CRA lending efforts.
Maintain extensive knowledge of competitor's products, services and activities in the market area.
Maintain a full understanding of the Bank's business objectives, policy and compliance guidelines, and Branch/Bank programs and financial goals.
Participate in compliance training to maintain knowledge of operations/lending/deposit activities, regulations and other appropriate training as required.
Ensure adherence to all Banking regulations, Bank policies and procedures.
Represent BOTC to the community through strong customer relations, business development and community involvement.
Develop and maintain professional business relationships with key influencers in the community.
Provide support and assistance; perform other related duties and projects as assigned in support of the daily functions and special projects of the Branch.
BOTC registered MLOs must provide their unique identifier to consumers per BOTC policies. MLOs must follow BOTC procedures for updating their information as necessary, certifying authenticity, and renewing their registration annually.
_Experience and Skill Requirements:_
Seven to Ten years comprehensive banking experience with extensive knowledge of commercial lending, bank services and products.
Extensive understanding of business and financial fundamentals, with advanced accounting skills, mathematical aptitude and computer spreadsheet skills.
Demonstrated strong decision-making, analytical and effective problem solving skills.
Excellent verbal, written and overall communication skills.
Proven ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Proven business development skills, knowledge of the overall business marketplace, and a history of successful community involvement.
Maintain a thorough understanding of credit services, Federal Banking Regulations, BOTC products/services and Loan Policy.
Demonstrated willingness to accept progressively complex responsibilities.
Must be competent in the use of personal computer systems, internet applications and electronic mail, and various windows based software applications to include, but not limited to, banking application software, word processing, and spread sheet software.
Honor Bank of the Cascades expectations including core values, customer service and dress code.
Must demonstrate acceptable personal financial responsibility to be bondable.
_Education / Certification Requirements:_
Bachelor's Degree in related field; or an equivalent combination of work experience and education

Location: Boise, IdahoEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
