MEMBERSHIP IN THE AIR NATIONAL GUARD IS REQUIRED: This is an Excepted Service position that requires membership in the Idaho Air National Guard as a condition of employment. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an Excepted Service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Loss of military membership will result in immediate loss of your full-time military technician position.

Responsibleforanalyzingcustomerrequirementsandmanagingthesystemsadministration,optimization, operationalrequirementsandmaintenanceassociatedwiththevariouslocalarea/wideareanetworks(LAN/WAN),wirelesssystems,andvoicesystemsutilizedbybothWingandtenantorganizationsonthebase. PerformsafullrangeofsupervisoryfunctionsprovidingadministrativecontrolandtechnicaldirectionandoversightforsubordinatepersonnelwithintheFlight. ManagecustomerITrequirementstomeetoperational,training,andreadinessmissions.Ensureviabletrainingprogramsaredevelopedforassignedfunctions.
MAJORDUTIES:
Plansworktobeaccomplishedbysubordinates,setsandadjustsshort-term priorities,andpreparesschedulesforcompletionofwork.Assignsworktosubordinatesbasedonpriorities,selectiveconsiderationofthedifficultyandrequirementsofassignments,andthecapabilitiesofincumbents.Evaluatesworkperformanceofsubordinates.Givesadvice,counsel, positionsin theunit;recommendsappointment,promotion,orreassignmenttosuchpositions.Hearsandresolvescomplaintsfromincumbents,referringgroupgrievancesandmoreseriousunresolvedcomplaintstoahigherlevelsupervisor ormanager. Effectsminordisciplinarymeasures,suchaswarningsandreprimands,recommendingotheractioninmoreseriouscases.IIdentifiesdevelopmentalandtrainingneedsofincumbents,providingorarrangingforneededdevelopmentandtraining. Developsandrecommendstechnicalsolutionstomissionandcustomerrequirements. Definesbroadobjectivesastoscopeandprioritiesofprojectsandrequirementsintheflightandguidessubordinatesintheachievementofthoseobjectives. Determinestimeframesandschedulesflightpersonnelassignmentstomeetobjectives.Initiatesandleadstransitionmeetingstofacilitatecustomeracceptanceofsystemsandoperationalaspectsoftheproject.Identifiesandaddressescriticaloperationalissuesandcertifiesoperationalreadinessofnetworks,equipment,components,software,andsystemsfororganizations locatedonorservicedbytheactivity.
ManagesCommissioningandAcceptancerequirementsforcontractordeliveredoperatingsystemsandservices. Ensuresqualitycontrolprocessisutilizedfornewandexistingcontracts. Ensuresareviewoftechnicalspecificationsandrequirementsisaccomplishedforprocurementrequestssubmittedtothecontractingoffice. Leadstechnicalteameffortsforcontractproposalreviewsandindependentlydeterminesadequacyofvendorabilitytoperformrequestedserviceordeliveryofrequirements.

GENERAL
Experience:
This series covers two-grade interval administers that manage, supervise, lead, administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT) systems and services. This series covers only those positions for which the paramount requirement is knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; e.g., data storage, software applications, networking.
Experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
No special education requirements are needed for this position.
SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Within your application package, you must explain how you gained the specialized experience required for this position. Applicants applying at theGS 12 level must have at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an
assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion.
Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
SUBSTITUTION EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED
Experience:
At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree may be substituted for specialized experience.
Major study-computer science, information science, information systems management, mathematics, statistics, operations research, or engineering, or course work that required the development or adaptation of computer programs and systems and provided knowledge equivalent to a major in the computer field.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
