Overview of Job Function:
The Localization QA Engineer will own the quality assurance aspects of software localization including resolving linguistic issues with vendor, troubleshooting localization issues, and maintaining test cases. The Localization QA Engineer will also work closely with localization vendor, internal QA, Product Development and Sustaining Engineering teams.
Principal Duties and Essential
Responsibilities:
Test, document, maintain and enhance the localization kits;
Work with localization agencies, internal QA and other developers to resolve issues found during simultaneous localization of multiple languages;
Perform verification testing and defect resolution testing in multiple languages on multiple products;
Set up localized test environments, including installation of the operating system, database servers, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical engineering degree or equivalent education and work experience;

years of hands-on experience in QA testing, preferably with localization, especially Content & Enterprises software localization;
Knowledge and experience with Java, .Net, C++, VBasic, XML and experience localizing with these technologies;
Able to install and perform basic administration of relational database servers such as MSSQL and Oracle;
Experience writing test plans and performing functional testing;
Excellent English-language communication skills, both written and verbal
Successful completion of Verint background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, and SS verification;
Preferred Requirements:
Experience with translation memories;
Experience with automated testing;
Fluency in at least one additional spoken/written language;
Software localization experience is a plus;
Hands-on experience as a localizer/translator is a plus;
Strong problem-solving, organizational, time management, and project leadership skills;
Ability to interact successfully with multiple teams across the global organization, including services and support for all regions;
Fast learner and able to pick up new ideas and approaches quickly;
Must have a strong desire and drive to succeed.
