As a Payroll Benefits Specialist you will:
Will perform all functions related to administering team member programs including: payroll, benefits and safety. Additionally, this person acts as the liaison between Team Member and insurance providers to resolve benefit-related problems and ensure positive Team Member relations. The PBS is responsible for driving and implementing all Team Member Services programs in the store.
As an In Store Educator you will:
Will be the primary conduit for information from Whole Foods Market to New Members, organizing ongoing educational programs and training for store team members. You will ensure a positive company image by providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities Include:
PBS-
Serve as benefits liaison which includes conducting benefits and 401K enrollment meetings, monitor Team Member benefits eligibility, and assist in ongoing enrollment as required.
Process Team Member payroll, new hire/transfer/termination paperwork, and maintain personnel files as required.
Prepare and maintain Team Member files ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially.
Motivate and mentor new hires and Team Members.
Monitor safety compliance throughout the store, and ensure investigation reports are properly completed and submitted.
Assist with job postings, prescreening, and recruitment.

_In Store Educator-
_
Facilitate and lead a two-day new member orientation
Focus on creating a legendary customer experience in stores
Track all new members through their first 90 days of employment with Whole Foods Market; follow up individually with these Team Members periodically after orientation to assess quality of training and overall work experience
Teach, train and follow up with organic compliance
Develop, maintain and follow up with the Team Trainer program by partnering with point training ASTL''s and Team Leaders
Teach an eight hour Food Safety certification training to perishable Team Leaders, Receivers, and Store Leadership
Analyze store Steritech scores and conduct 2 hour Team Member Food Safety Training as needed
Work closely with Regional Trainer to develop core curriculum
Develop and evaluate relevant materials for Training Program and Orientation; adapt and change materials as necessary, continually gather feedback regarding training program and orientation process.
Ensure any and all regional training programs are implemented consistently and effectively in the store
Support Store Leadership with various requests including specialized training classes, Team Member development, and other operational needs
Ensure our culture is alive and prospering in stores
Perform other duties, as assigned
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
A minimum of 2 years previous HR experience with payroll, benefits, and labor law.
Prior training and presentation skills.
Knowledge of and able to apply adult learning principles
Previous experience in the grocery, food service, hospitality and/or retail industry strongly preferred.
Excellent demonstrated customer service and communication skills.
Strong demonstrated organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong ability to work in an autonomous dynamic environment.

Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights and weekends as required.
