Carollo Engineers, a nationally recognized engineering firm specializing in water and wastewater engineering, is seeking an Engineering Intern to join our team this summer for a 12-week Internship in our Boise, ID office. This is an exciting opportunity to participate in water projects. Candidate will work with and be mentored by senior technical staff on various tasks and assignments. A discussion of potential work assignments is listed below. The exact type of work will vary based on project schedules and availability of staff.
Responsibilities include performing engineering work in various engineering fields (water treatment, desalination, UV disinfection, engineering services, construction management); working on engineering designs, preparing reports, developing plans, making specifications, and cost estimates for various water projects, permitting and alternative analysis; checking performance or conformity with plans and specifications through field inspection and testing; assisting with the preparation of technical memoranda, reports and electronic deliverables; data entry and analysis, participating in field activities such as site investigations, and pilot testing.
Required education and experience include the pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or Environmental Sciences field and should be at minimum a junior in undergraduate school. Experience and/or coursework in water/wastewater treatment and conveyance preferred. Good written and verbal communication skills essential. Experience using CAD software (AutoCAD, Microstation, Revit, Sketch Up) highly desired. A valid driver's license and good driving record may be required. It may also be necessary to travel to job sites for various field related activities. Previous related internship experience a plus but not necessary.
