Job Description: POWER Engineers, Inc. is currently seeking an IT Service Management Analyst. The IT Service Management Analyst position is responsible for assisting with the development, documentation, training and implementation of standard IT processes under the ITIL V3 framework. The position will be responsible for developing and implementing Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) at POWER and will be responsible for the Configuration Management Systems (CMS) with an emphasis on collecting and maintaining our CMDB. Additional functions of this position will be the management of our Service Management tool, Easy Vista. Specific focus will also be given to assisting with the management of the Incident and Problem Management processes to help address and drive operational stability.
Role
Responsibilities:
IT Process engineering
-Assist with process design sessions within service management
-Development of process flows for IT service delivery and operational procedures
-Document processes, activities, standard operating procedures and work instructions
-Develop training materials and conduct training sessions on process and ITSM tool usage
-Integration of processes with the ITSM Easy Vista tool
IncidentProblem management
-Serve as a system administrator for the ITSM Tool; duties include system configuration, process design and troubleshooting
-Assist with the development, continually improve and enforce incident and problem management escalation plans, processes and procedures
-Assist with the management of the incident management process from initial occurrence to successful resolution
-Facilitate the restoration of service, discussions and identify resulting action items and ensure the correct technical staff is working on an incident
-Coordinate proactively and reactively identification, diagnosis, and documentation of root cause and durable fixes
-Keep appropriate customers and internal stakeholders up to date on high priority incidents through timely and regular written and verbal communications
-Identify and report on recurring incidents to spot trends and potential problem sources
Configuration Management
-Create processes to report on and track CMDB items within the CMS
-Define and implement the configuration management policy and standards
-Develop configuration management standards, plans and procedures
