Position Responsibilities
Utilize firm standards and templates to write and edit text.
Edit text, possibly from multiple writers, to create a unified voice, style, consistent terminology and cohesive order.
Contribute technical information for use in writing and editing executive summaries.
Confer with technical personnel to understand and clarify documentation goals and audience.
Work with technical staff to improve writing skills and their ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
Partner with marketing proposal leads, technical personnel, marketing and administrative staff to gather proposal requirements and qualifications, standard materials, and technical information to determine needs for technical and marketing documents.
Synthesize letters and other short reports from oral interviews of staff
Ability to work individually and collectively with engineering staff to improve writing techniques
Other duties as assigned.
Education and
Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.
Minimum three (3) years experience in technical writing. Experience in A&E or other technical industry preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe products.
Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to critically think and explain differences between alternate solutions.
Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and understand how they add to or detract from text.
Ability to work in a team setting with technical staff.
Ability to develop constructive and cooperative long-term working relationships with internal staff.
Ability to actively listen.
Possess superior command of the English language, its structure, syntax, vocabulary and spelling.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
